OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's soccer team moved up to No. 10 in the latest United Soccer Coaches/NCAA Top 25 poll released today.
The Mavericks defeated UC Riverside (1-0) on Friday and Bradley (2-1) on Sunday, propelling Omaha up seven spots.
Junior midfielder
Cole Nelson, who had an assist last weekend, earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week.
Omaha also is ranked ninth in the national poll released by Top Drawer Soccer. The Mavericks are No. 12 in the College Soccer News Top 30 and No. 14 in the Soccer America rankings.
The Mavericks travel to Orem, Utah to play in the UVU Classic this weekend. Omaha plays Northern Illinois (2-3) on Friday, Sept. 15, before playing Utah Valley (3-1) on Sunday, Sept. 17.
