OMAHA, Neb. – Head women's basketball coach
Brittany Lange announced today the addition of Brianna Taylor as Omaha's Director of Women's Basketball Operations.
A four-year letterwinner at Texas from 2013-17, Taylor earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2017. The Houston native helped the Longhorns to four consecutive 20-plus win seasons and four straight NCAA Tournament berths, including a trip to the Elite 8 in 2016.
"We are very fortunate to welcome another young, rising coach to our staff," said Lange. "Brianna comes from one of the elite programs in the country at Texas and understands what it takes to transform a program into a national contender. Her experience at Texas makes her a great fit for us as we are continually building and reaching new heights each year. She embodies a competitive passion and work-ethic, which will strongly influence our culture and players."
Taylor was also a four-time selection to the Academic Big 12 Team. She received her degree in Kinesiology and health promotion from Texas in May 2017.
"I'm excited to join the basketball staff at Omaha," said Taylor. "I want to thank Coach Lange for giving me this great opportunity to begin my career in college athletics and to continue my education at UNO. My college basketball experience was meaningful and helped shape who I am as a person. I am looking forward to carrying my lifelong passion for basketball and college athletics into helping both our program and our student-athletes succeed here at Omaha."
