2850 S. 67th St. | Omaha, NE | 68182
Connie Claussen Field at Maverick Park opened on March 19, 2021, serving as the first on-campus home for the Omaha softball team since its inception in 1969. Located at 2850 South 67th Street, Omaha, NE, 68106, the field is named for current Omaha Athletic Director Emerita Connie Claussen who started women's athletics at then-Omaha University in 1969.
The field will provide fixed seating for 650 fans as well as berm seating on each baseline for additional fans. The field will be a state-of-the art artificial surface to extend the Mavericks' playing season. The facility also will include a 26 foot by 19 foot video board in the outfield. The raised concourse will serve both Connie Claussen Field and Tal Anderson Field, the home of Omaha baseball, with premium seating, a press box, concession areas and restrooms.
The Nebraska Philanthropic Trust led the fundraising for the Omaha Baseball/Softball Complex which was done entirely through private donations. Construction of the facility is being managed by the Tetrad Property Group with Kiewit serving as the lead contractor.
