OMAHA, Neb. - After enjoying a sensational freshman campaign with the Omaha men’s soccer team, Seth Rinderknecht picked up two more postseason honors as he was named one of the top freshmen in the country, placing 36th on TopDrawerSoccer’s annual Top 100 Freshman list. He also earned a spot on the College Soccer News All-Freshman Third Team.
Rinderknecht, a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was a First Team All-Summit League honoree on the year, ending the season with two goals and two assists from his center back position. His efforts helped the Mavericks to a share of the league’s regular-season crown and the top seed in the postseason tournament.
Rinderknecht, who was one of nine newcomers to see playtime this season, was the only Summit League player to earn awards from either publication.
