OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior Michelle Lo was one of five student-athletes selected to the 2017 Academic All-Summit Women's Tennis Team, the league office announced Tuesday. The team is determined by a vote of faculty athletic representatives and sports information directors from the league's member institutions.
Lo owns a 3.87 grade-point average with a major in aviation and a minor in business. The Hong Kong, China, native is a member of the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll, Distinguished Scholars List and List of Academic Excellence, as well as the UNO Dean's List.
On the court, Lo went 12-9 at No. 1 singles, including a 4-2 league mark, and added six doubles victories this season. She is a three-time All-Summit pick.
To be eligible for Academic All-Summit recognition, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of her team's competitions.
