Women's Soccer Announces 2017 Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha women's soccer head coach Tim Walters announced his squad's 2017 slate of matches.  The Mavericks' schedule features a total of 19 competitions, including seven matches at Caniglia Field this season.

The 2017 UNO schedule features three teams that made the NCAA Tournament a year ago.

Omaha opens its season with the Black/White Intrasquad Scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 4.  Then Mavericks then visit NCAA Tournament participant Arkansas for an exhibition match on Aug. 10.  The regular season begins with a trip to Washington for matches with Eastern Washington, an NCAA Tournament participant, on Aug. 18 and Gonzaga on Aug. 20.

Omaha welcomes Northern Iowa to Caniglia Field on Aug. 25 for its home opener.

UNO then returns to the road for games at Kansas State (Aug. 30) and North Dakota (Sept. 1) before returning home to play Missouri State on Sept. 8.

UNO wraps up the non-conference schedule by visiting UMKC (Sept. 10), Creighton (Sept. 16) and Drake (Sept. 20).

Summit League play begins on the road against Fort Wayne (Sept. 28), before hosting IUPUI (Oct. 1).  The next two league matches are on the road against NCAA Tournament qualifier South Dakota State (Oct. 6) and North Dakota State (Oct. 8).

The back half of the Summit League schedule is more favorable as Omaha hosts three of the final four matches of the season.  The Mavericks host Denver (Oct. 15) before visiting Oral Roberts (Oct. 20).  UNO's final two games in the regular season see the Mavericks host Western Illinois on Oct. 26 and South Dakota on Oct. 29.
