2017 Maverick Volleyball Summer Camps

July 13-14
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Incoming grades 5-9

Beginning Individual Camp is designed to focus on the fundamental skills of volleyball including team concepts. Participants are grouped with players of similar abilities and introduced to various drills designed to teach and improve volleyball skills and knowledge. Individual Camp focuses on player development regardless of previous volleyball experience.

July 15
9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Incoming grades 1-5

Junior Camp is a great environment to introduce players to the game and skills of volleyball. Emphasis is placed on the basic skills as well as continued education of players who have already started playing the game. This camp provides a fun and positive volleyball learning experience.

July 17-18
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Incoming grades 7-9

Advanced Individual Camp challenges players who already have a basic understanding of volleyball. The focus is on continued development of volleyball skills at a competitive level. Participants should have a solid understanding of the game through junior high or club experience. This camp is not recommended for beginners or those with limited volleyball experience. All skills and team concepts will be developed in this advanced camp.

July 19-20
9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Incoming grades 10-12
$180 for commuter (lunch provided)
$245 for overnight (all meals provided)

Advanced Specialty Camp offers the fast paced intensity needed to advance volleyball skills to the next level. This elite camp is offered for the ADVANCED player and is recommended for players who have or will be competing at the varsity level. This camp will provide specific instruction and drills for technical development in each position. Coaches provide an environment to challenge and motivate players interested in improving their volleyball skills and knowledge.

Campus housing and meals are available for the Advanced Specialty Camp. Overnight accommodations in the dorm facilities are available on July 19th for camp.

July 21-22
8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
High school teams only
$50 + $5 Youth Safety Fee per player

Team Competition Camp offers some of the best competition in the mid-west. Three levels of competition and over 100 teams participating provide an amazing volleyball experience. The playing schedule offers 12 matches providing a great opportunity to prepare for the upcoming 2016 season. There is a limit of two teams per high school and a minimum of six registered players to reserve a team spot.

PLAYERS: Please verify with your high school team if your team has officially been registered for camp.

Parking Permits
Parking permits will be available in PDF format and may be printed at home for your convenience.


All camps will be held at the Sapp Fieldhouse and HPER building on the UNO campus. A total of 10 air-conditioned courts are available. Additional off-campus sites will be used for Team Competition Camp

Overnight Accommodations
A limited number of dorms are available for Advanced Specialty Camp. Please register as an overnight camper if you are interested in staying in the dorms on the UNO campus.

Camp Staff
All Maverick Volleyball Summer Camps have qualified staff comprised of college coaches, high school coaches, former players and current collegiate players. The coach-to-camper ratio is approximately 1:8.
