Pioneers Sweep Mavericks

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO men's tennis team dropped their Summit League opening dual match to No. 52 Denver on Sunday, 7-0 at Hanscom Brandeis Tennis Center. 

The Mavericks are now 1-1 overall on the season and 0-1 in the Summit League. Denver improved to 4-2 and 1-0 in the Summit League. 

Denver won all three doubles matches for the doubles point and swept the singles matches in straight sets. Eric McKnight put up the toughest fight, falling to Henry Craig, 6-2, 6-2 in No. 1 singles. 

The Mavericks return to action next Saturday in Galesburg, Ill. to face Western Illinois in Summit League action. A start time has yet to be announced.
