OMAHA, Neb. -Freshman diver Andrea Brosnahan was named Summit League Diver of the Week for her performance Nov. 28 - Dec. 4, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Brosnahan earns her second career Diver of the Week award and second honor this season following a historic weekend at the Mutual of Omaha Inivite. The Wayzata, Minn., native became the first Maverick in the Division I era to clinch an NCAA postseason berth with her performance in the 1-meter event. Brosnahan's freshmen-record score of 271.55 in the event beat the NCAA benchmark score of 265.00 to send her to the NCAA Zone Meet following the conclusion of the Summit League Championship. Additionally, Brosnahan placed third in the 3-meter dive with a score of 245.90.
