Josh White has served as a senior administrator at the University of Nebraska Omaha since January 2010. White’s responsibilities at Omaha include serving as the primary liaison between several campus units and Intercollegiate Athletics, including Academic and Student Affairs. Additionally, White supervises the following administrative areas for UNO: leadership, strategic planning, Division I reclassification, communications, academics, compliance and student-athlete development. He is also the sport administrator for men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.

Prior to joining UNO, White served for four years at Nebraska, where he was the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Planning. During his time in Lincoln, White coordinated NU’s planning initiatives to streamline organizational processes, which included managing and coordinating the five-year Athletic Department Strategic Plan (2008-13). He also managed all facets of the NCAA rules-compliance education program for coaches, student-athletes, staff and boosters. Further, he helped set policy, develop goals and objectives and manage personnel in the compliance office.

White went to Nebraska in fall of 2006 from the NCAA Headquarters in Indianapolis, where he was the Associate Director for Membership Services from 2002 to 2006. While there, he supervised the day-to-day operations of the Division I athletics certification program. He was the lead administrator for new staff training and professional development within the office. White also was involved in the interpretation of NCAA rules, performed compliance reviews and was a presenter at NCAA regional seminars.

White began his career at UNO, serving as the Compliance Director and Academic Coordinator from 1999 to 2002.  

White he earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Nebraska in 1995 and his Juris Doctorate from the Nebraska College of Law in 1999. He and his wife, Jenn, have one son, Leo.
