2017 (Senior) Season Statistics
Capped his senior season with a 5-5 overall singles mark (1-1 Summit League)…earned his first singles win at No. 5 over North Dakota's Eshan Varma, 6-2, 7-5…Topped Peter Foersom of Illinois State, 6-3, 6-3…in doubles play, finished with a 5-11 overall mark (1-3 Summit League) playing mainly at No. 3 doubles…earned a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles with Matt Dunn over South Dakota State…finished his career with 17 career singles wins which is 7th all-time…his 28 combined doubles victories is third most all-time.
2016 (Junior) Season Statistics
Finished the season with a 4-8 singles record, playing at the Nos. 4, 5, and 6 positions…posted a doubles mark of 8-7 overall at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles… went 7-4 overall and 3-1 in league play with partner Matt Dunn.
2015 (Sophomore) Season Statistics
Played in 19 singles matches this season…compiled an overall record of 2-17…played everywhere from the No. 3-5 spots for UNO, but went 1-1 at No. 3 singles and 1-7 at No. 4 singles...went 4-18 in doubles this season…combined with three different partners and played at No. 2 or No. 3 doubles….compiled a 3-13 mark with Marco Minic at No. 2 (1-6) and No. 3 (2-10)…Ellis and Minic defeated Creighton at No. 3(6-4) on Mar. 3.
2013-14 (Redshirt Freshman)
Studied abroad during the 2013-14 season and will return to the Mavericks in 2014-15.
2012-13 (Freshman) Season Statistics
Broke into the Maverick starting lineup in his first year in the program and posted a 4-15 singles record, playing 10 matches at No. 2 singles and one in the No. 1 slot...combined to go 4-8 in doubles matches with a perfect 3-0 record paired with Matt Frost.
Boone High School
Won the 2012 Iowa Class 1A state singles title...finished the year with a perfect 29-0 singles record...posted a career singles record of 131-26, the fourth-most wins in Boone school history...ranked second overall in the state of Iowa, 19th in the Plains region and 410th nationally, according to the Tennis Recruiting Network...earned the top seed in Iowa's Class 1A State Tournament as a junior and finished with a fourth-place finish. As a freshman in 2009, advanced to the quarterfinals of the State Coed Doubles Tennis Tournament.
